LABARD – Lahore Businessmen Association for Rehabilitation of the Disabled is a non–profit, independent and non – governmental organization patronized by the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI) and having the LCCI President as its Chief Patron. Our main purpose is to rehabilitate the disabled persons and help them lead an independent life.

We have established two vocational Training Centers at New Muslim Town and Tulbagh in Lahore, with the capacity to train almost 450 people at a time. We offer 14 trades in which disabled persons can be trained (For details of trades, visit our website www.labard.com.pk). After the successful completion of training, our placement officers also arrange the employment for the disabled through contacting various industrial and commercial sectors.

Interest Free Loans/ Qarz-e-Hasna

Interest Free Loans/ Qarz-e-Hasna Interest free loans are also provided to those who genuinely deserve it. Our panel of experts properly interview those aspirants who lack resources to initiate a startup. The financial help is given to them on easy installments and does not include interest or any service charges. The loan helps them standing on their feet and instills self- confidence in them. Hundreds of people have benefted from these loans who are successfully running their own business. Loans are also provided to those disabled who want to expand their business or who require financial help to sustain their business. These interest free loans provided by LABARD not only help the disabled to gain acceptance in the society by standing on their own feet, but also contributes towards reducing the poverty in the society.

Providing access to interest free loans to men, women, youth and persons with disabilities (PWDs) from extreme & vulnerable poor and marginalised households categorised up to 40 on Poverty. Supporting female participation and inclusion in activities by disbursing at least 50% loans to Enhancing the entrepreneurial competencies by linking the borrowers with institutions and programmes for extending capacity building services.
