Our History

From just a small cell of one room at Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industries (LCCI), LABARD has blossomed into a sizeable organization and still looking for the opportunities to grow. In a bid to restrict the industrial sector to comply with the law of reserving one percent employment quota for the disabled, a cell was established in Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industries in 1996.

The cell was converted into a properly registered organization by the name of Lahore Businessmen Association for Rehabilitation of the Disabled in 1999. This was the result of the personal efforts of Mr. Pervez Malik who was also an active member of LCCI and spearheaded the initiative for the cause of the disabled persons.
